She was predeceased by: her parents, Pleasant Story and Cassie Gilmore; her husband W. A. Ward; her son Kelly Ward; her sisters, Carolyn Adkison and Marilyn Wisener; and her grandson Kenneth Ward.
She is survived by: her son Ken Ward; her daughter-in-law Julie Ward (Kelly Ward); her granddaughters, Jeri Ward (Andrew Brown) and Ella Cobine; her great grandchild Ivy-Marie "Birdie" Cobine; her nephews, Russell Adkison (Addie Adkison) and Jeff Wisener (Connie Wisener); and her great-niece Cassie Adkison.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Garden Hills Cemetery (1218 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
