He was predeceased by: his parents, Turner L. Blasingame and Nettie Irene Blasingame; and his siblings, James, Vivian (Williams), Mary Ellen (Abbott) and Clyde.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his son Benjamin (Heather); his granddaughters, Maggie and Abby; and his sister-in-law Peggy Merritt.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church of Opelika (301 S 8th St, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to First Baptist Church of Opelika or Alabama Lions Sight Conservation Association.
