He is survived by: his children, Dacon Buchanan (Cynthia Cross) of Panama City, FL and Miquel Buchanan (Nicole Foote) of San Diego, CA; his grandchildren, Dacon Lamarr Buchanan, Miquel Tylan Buchanan and Nytalia Tatyani Buchanan; his siblings, Linda Wisdom of Opelika, AL, Gwendolyn Sistrunk of Opelika, AL, Rosetta Wright of Opelika, AL and Gabriel Buchanan (Norma) of Opelika, AL; his aunts, Geraldine Reese (Zack) of Opelika, AL and Mary Williams of Opelika, AL; his mother-in-law Mavis Melton of Opelika, AL; and his sister-in-law Olivia Buchanan of Opelika, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel (515 S 6th St, Opelika, AL 36801).
