He was predeceased by: his son Edward Yates. He is survived by: his wife Laura; his children, Amanda Howington (Bradley), Charles Yates Jr. (Alise) and Jimmy Yates; his sister Iris Simpson (John); and his cousin James Coe. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, four great-grand children, nieces, nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at 2045 Lee Road 42, Opelika, AL 36804.
