He is survived by: his children, Donald III, Holly Drummonds (Steve) and Chris James (Kayla); his grandchildren, Jenniffer Coxwell, Kayde James, Sean James, Conner James and Braxton "Nate" James; and his sister Lorrie Mathews (Doug).
