He is survived by: his wife Gail Edwards; his children, Kim Vessenmeyer (Phil), Mandi Simmons (Ryan) and Jesse Edwards (Jill); his grandchildren, Camden McGinty, Lola McGinty, Alex Simmons, Tucker Edwards and Tess Edwards; his great grandchildren, Atlas McGinty and Orion McGinty; his siblings, Darryl Edwards (Sandra), Peggy Dean and Barbara Turner; and his siblings-in-law, Chris Bell, Carolyn Coker, Ricky Moore (Janet) and Diane Geter (Clyde).
