She was predeceased by: her husband Lavelle McCarty; and her son Lamar McCarty. She is survived by: her son Rick McCarty (Phyllis); and her grandsons, Cory and Cole McCarty. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
