She was predeceased by : her parents, Lewis Bartow Cooper, Jr. and Laverne Clegg Miller. She is survived by : her brother Harold Cooper; her daughters, Mandy Mitchell and Luanne Helms (Jason); her grandchildren, Katy Simpson (Steve) and Jake Helms; and her great grandchild Steven Oliver Simpson of Opelika.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jeffcoat - Trant Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Church, Autism Support of Alabama (ASA), Opelika Library Friends, or your favorite animal rescue organization.
