We are sad to announce that on June 25, 2025, at the age of 69, Kathlean Dowdell Delaney of Opelika, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Kathlean Dowdell shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Kathlean Dowdell farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her children, Joshua Delaney of Opelika, AL and Ilaya Idahosa (Efosa) of Duluth, GA; her granddaughter Phebe Brown of Duluth, GA; and her siblings, Teresa Brown of Pensacola, FL, Tangee Floyd of Auburn, AL, Manatha Allen (Dorothy) of Auburn, AL and Lindsey Allen (Dorothy) of Auburn, AL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Anthony Pogue (515 S 6th St, Opelika, AL 36801).
