He is survived by: his wife Claire; his son James; his parents, Virgil David and Amelia Ann Morris (Amy); his siblings, Christopher Anderson (Liz) and Jill Anderson Bukowski (Brett); his grandmother Charlotte Josephine Rose Morris; and his uncles, Clyde Anderson (Heidi), Michael Anderson (Angie), John Berry, Edwin Morris (Leslie), Daniel Morris (Betsy) and Joseph Morris (Eryn). He is also survived by twelve first cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church (900 2nd Ave, Opelika, AL 36801). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the Garden Hill Cemetery (1218 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
