With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patricia Long of Opelika, Alabama, who passed away on February 28, 2026 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Patricia Long to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Irvin Cummings, Sr. (Dorothy Elaine Cummings) and Dorothy Elaine Cummings; her son Johnny Frank Long, Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Vi Cummings and Richard Scott; and her nephew Joey Cummings.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny Frank Long, Sr.; her daughters, Hope Hopper (Philip) and Holly Thornton (Woody); her siblings, Jane Long (Gerald) and Irvin Cummings; and her siblings-in-law, Cecil Long (Carol), Sidney Long (Carolyn) and Becky Scott. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
