He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bess Sr. and Charmaine O'Conner; his siblings, Nancy Regalley, Cecilia and Gene Henderson; and his daughter Charmaine Kebble.
He is survived by: his significant other Margaret Ann Bess; his siblings, Michael Bess (Marsha Bess), Donald Bess (Debbie Bess), Bobby Bess, Lynn Musselwhite (Robert) and Kenneth Henderson; and his children, Robert C. Bess (Christina), David Padgett (Marie) and Thomas C. Padgett (Keshia). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 17 nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and friends.
