He is survived by: his daughter Franchesca Strickland (Corey Brewer) of Valley, AL; and his siblings, Olivia Jones (Sam) of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Parker (Frank) of Union City, GA, Betty White (Lionel) of College Park, GA, Martha Chaney of Union City, GA and John Gordy of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hill A. M. E. Zion Church (3845 Lee Road 252, Opelika, AL 36804).
