He is survived by: his wife Mickey Pitzer; his daughter Michele Richie (Chris); his granddaughters, Hannah Richie and Kathryn Richie; his sisters, Linda Corns and Sandra Dotson; and his nephew David Pitzer (Frelie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, cousins and other family members.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home & Crematory (1801 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). Born on December 1st, 1939, in Alderson, West Virginia, Ron lived during the Great Depression, World War II, the Korea conflict, Vietnam, President Kennedy's assassination, the moon landing, 9/11, the Global War on Terrorism, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
