He is survived by: his wife Leona Henderson Welch; his children, Julie Welch Wentworth (Stuart) and Donald Welch (Rita); and his grandchildren, Hayden Welch (Caroline), Austin Wentworth (Taylor), Robin Hanes Allen, Temothy Hanes (Madonna) and Regan English (James).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
