He is survived by: his children, Laurie Melton Tate (Jon) and Stanley Rowe Melton, IV (Stan); his grandchildren, Drew Tate (Alexandra), Fuller Tate (Abbey), Thomas Bartley Melton (Utah) and Evelyn Ingram Melton Lett (Hunter); his great grandchild Jon Ryan Tate; and his brothers, Thomas Spearman Melton (Gayle) and Crawford Shealy Melton (Katy).
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rosemere Cemetery South Long (1600 Auburn St, Opelika, AL 36801).
