She is survived by: her son Marico Wilson of Opelika, AL; her granddaughter Jennie Finely of North Carolina; her godson DeAngelo Jiles of Opelika, AL; her siblings, Belinda Barnes (Willie) of Salem, AL, Shelia Penn of Opelika, AL, Oscar Lee Penn III of Opelika, AL, Edward Penn of Opelika, AL and Marvin Gauntt of Tallassee, AL; her siblings' children, Quenteze Barnes of Salem, AL, Jureze Barnes of Salem, AL, Marquez Penn of Opelika, AL, Lashune Lewis and Jessica Penn of Auburn, AL; her caregiver Tomeka Penn of Opelika, AL; and her great-niece Desiree Penn of Opelika, AL. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The lying in state was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Nazareth Missionary Baptist Church (4454 Lee Road 252 #166, Opelika, AL 36804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
