He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Dodson Ross and Elizabeth B. Ross; his son Brandon Lamar Ross; his brother James Thomas Ross; his wife Sheila Long Ross; his son Daniel Harris Ross; his siblings, John Wyche Ross (Anne) of Adamstown, MD and Charlotte Ross Jordan of Auburn, AL; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy H. Ross of Navarre, FL, Teresa Felsinger of Arab, AL and Pam Persall (Bryan) of Eatonton, GA. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and many good friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home (1500 Frederick Rd, Opelika, AL 36801).
In lieu of flowers, Woody would want donations made in his honor to the EAMC Foundation.
