He was predeceased by: his parents, A. J. Hurst and Avis Brooks Hurst; and his brothers, Dennis Hurst and James Hurst. He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Hurst, Valerie Cauley and Josh Daniel Hurst (Kristie Jackson); and his grandchildren, Sam Hurst, Wyatt Cauley, Avaleigh Cauley, Mallory Cauley and Javis Hudson.
