Carrel D. Wyatt Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carrel D. Wyatt Sr. of Opp, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Carrel D. "Dee" Wyatt, Jr.; his parents, Jewell Wyatt (Bowdoin) and F. T. "Thea" Wyatt; his parents-in-law, Marguerite and Charlie F. Gunnels; and his sister-in-law Charlotte Gunnels Gilchrist.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Charles Gunnels Wyatt; his children, Katie Wyatt Fuller (Lee) and Charlie Gunnels Wyatt; his brother Farrel C. Wyatt (Betty); his grandchildren, Cale Wyatt Pierce, Sara Kate Horn, Graceanne Spears, Wyatt Heath Horn, Mary Carreline Spears, Addyson Boutwell and Marli Ann Wyatt; and his brother-in-law Richard H. Gilchrist. He is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens (Peaceful Acres Memorial Gardens, AL-52, Opp, AL 36467).
