He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Joan Bozeman Sasser; his daughter Debra Lynn Sasser Fowler; his daughter-in-law Teresa Dean Sasser; his grandson Billy Smith; and his parents, Orice Polk Sasser and Jack Sasser.

He is survived by: his children, Diane Sasser Castleberry (Steve) and Alan Sasser; and his son-in-law Bobby Fowler. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at the same location.
