It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emily Rhymes of Opp, Alabama, who passed away on April 25, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emily Rhymes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Marjorie Elizabeth "Beth" Rhymes; her parents, Mattie Lou Hudson Ziglar and Charlie Buford Ziglar; and her brothers, Kenneth Ziglar and Marcell Ziglar.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph L. Rhymes; her children, Braddley Rhymes (Angi), Joi Rhymes and Tiffany Atwood; her sister Gloria Cobb; and her grandchildren, Isaac Tillis, Raelyn Gurley, Hudson Rhymes and Aubrey Atwood.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel (1018 Florala Hwy, Opp, AL 36467). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Opp First Methodist Church.
