She was predeceased by: her parents, T. B. Gray and Lillian Gray; her parents-in-law, Arliss Chapman Nowlin and Etta Wise Nowlin; her brothers, James D. Gray (Becky), Charles Davis (Nellie) and Jack Davis (Faye); and her siblings-in-law, Sam Nowlin, Jerry Nowlin, Colon Hataway, Janice Nowlin and Voncile Davis.
She is survived by: her husband James Ranier Nowlin; her children, Jason James Nowlin (Susan) and Kimberly Michele Nanney (Doug); her siblings, Rev. Robert Davis, Wayne Gray (Dianne), Randall Gray (Gale) and Faye Gray Nowlin; her siblings-in-law, Ferrell Nowlin, Loretta Piland (Tyler), Frances Abston (J. T.) and Mary Nell Hataway; and her grandchildren, Arya, Lyla, Brandon and Shelby. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Nowlin has requested donations to the Friendship Cemetery or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
