He is survived by: his wife Pamela Harris Merrill; his mother Navajo Tomberlin Bawkum; his children, Jesse Henry Merrill, Christopher Benjamin Stivers (Pam), David Brian Stivers, Kimberly Michele Kraus, Amy Marie Nichols (Michael) and Alex Monroe Nichols; and his siblings, Jan Grimes, Judy Hawthorne (Dennis), Lynn Frazer (James) and Freddie Merrill. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren & 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.
