He was predeceased by: his father Col. James W. Jay. He is survived by: his mother Judith Ross Jay (Wicksburg); his wife Carolyn Lundy Jay; his children, Tiffany Jay McCulligh (Patrick) and Josh Jay (Stacey); and his siblings, Cynthia Jay Hatcher and Kennth G. Jay (Regina). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
