We announce the death of Nellie Roberts Day of Opp, Alabama, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 88. Nellie Roberts will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Roberts and Ella Pickron Roberts; her husband Newton Day; her siblings, Edward Roberts, Alice Roberts and Inez Williams; and her son Buddy Day.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Day (Charlotte), Rob Day (Traci) and Darlene Maloy; her grandchildren, Jessica Moore (Nate), Amanda Day, Melinda Killian (Justin), Josh Maloy (Brandi), Kristin Maloy and Heather Day; her great grandchildren, Clete, Case, Claira, Maggie, Emma, Brooks, Zae and Lexie; and her great great grandchild Laura Lye Day.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Evans Funeral Hall.
