He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Harrison Wise and George J. Wise; and his siblings, June, Mary Ruth, Voncille, Louise, Bill, Jack, Joe Bruce and Mack.

He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Mitchell; his sister Patricia Thurlow; and his nephew Steve Wise. He is also survived by many other nieces & nephews.
