He was predeceased by: his parents, LaVeta Harrison Gibson and James Gibson; and his sister Betty Louise Gibson Cowen (James W.). He is survived by: his wife Mabel Wright Gibson; his children, Kathy Gibson Cotton and Jon Gibson; his grandchildren, Kelsey Cotton, Mitch, Daniel Cotton and David Cotton; and his great grandchildren, Damian and Vincent.
