Sheila Gooden Turman Obituary

We announce the death of Sheila Gooden Turman of Opp, Alabama, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 74. Sheila will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Garry David Turman; her brothers, Lamar Gooden (Lynda) and Michael Gooden (Yvonne); and her parents, Sara Reynolds Gooden and Durwood Byron Gooden.

She is survived by: her sons, Blake Turman (Kim) and Stephen Turman (Susan); her sister Terri Mikel (Ricky); her grandchildren, Kelsi Turman, Katelyn Clark (R. D.), Kalli Grace Whiddon (Zachary), Pippin Turman and Baylor Turman; and her great grandchildren, Ava Blake, Evie and Little R. D. Clark. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church in Opp, Alabama.
