He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Ira Hunt and Zora Grisham Hunt; his daughters, Jerolyn Janeal Hunt (J. J.) and Laura Leigh Brown; and his sister Jackie Odle.

He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Jones Hunt; and his son Stephen Bryant Hunt. He is also survived by two grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons.
