With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) May Karcher McDuffie (Orange Beach, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Captain Carl Winston McDuffie; her parents, Dorothy Karcher and Edmund Karcher; and her brother Bob Karcher. She is survived by: her daughter Sheryl McDuffie Jones; her great grandchildren, Mary Katherine, Bryson, Ellie Jones, Cameron, Grayson, Halston, Finn and Easton McDuffie; and also, Jimmy Jones of Greenville, Captain Ricky McDuffie (Eva Workman McDuffie) of Orange Beach, Lynn McDuffie Hodges of Summerdale, Alabama., Ty Jones, Adam, Alex McDuffie, Reed, Carli and Blake Hodges. She is also survived by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sea Catholic Church (26457 Perdido Beach Blvd, Orange Beach, AL 36561). A Mass will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM.
