James left this world on April 27, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Spear, Sr. and Esther Martin Spear. He is survived by: his daughters, Fonda Spear Gestwicki (Robert) and Desiree Spear Celaya (Benjamin) of Thomasville, GA; his siblings, Judith Champagne (Richard De Brito) of Lagunitas, CA, Martin Spear of Baldwin, LA, Thomas Spear of San Rafael, CA and Michael Spear (Gloria) of San Francisco, CA; and his grandchildren, Adam Gestwicki (Amanda), John Gestwicki, Malley Celaya Mikell (Tanner) and Spear Celaya. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
