It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Daniel Martin Jr. in Orange Beach, Alabama, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Johnny Martin and Marie Martin; his nephew Hugh Reese; his niece Holley Reese; his brother-in-law Hans Heiduck; and his parents-in-law, Betty Rose Heiduck and Max Heiduck.

He is survived by : his wife Candace Heiduck Martin; his sons, Larry G. Martin (Kristy) and John Daniel Martin, III (Heather); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace Shaver (Hunter), William Jackson "Jack" Martin, Adam Daniel Martin, Anna Marie Martin and Finley Marie Martin; his siblings, Anne Martin Zieman (Hays), Peter Carleton Martin (Nancy) and Jane Frances Martin (Frank Hall, Sr.); his brother-in-law Fritz Heiduck; and his pet Bama.
