He was predeceased by: his parents, Corbin Smith and Dora Smith; his wife Mary Hiott Smith; his siblings, Earlie, James, Huey, Jack, Velma, Lish and J. C.; his children-in-law, Jeff Lightsey, Charlene Smith and Ann Smith; his grandchildren, Cassie, James and Jacob Andrew; and his great grandchild Noah.
He is survived by: his children, James Smith of West Blocton, John Smith (Belinda) of Thorsby, Ralph Smith (Amy) of Vance, Mary Ann Lightsey Porter (Jimmy) of West Blocton, Rev. Robert Smith (Phyllis) of West Blocton and Stephanie Savage of Woodstock. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and their spouses, 23 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Third Baptist Church of West Blocton, 85 Church Hill Loop Road, West Blocton, Alabama 35184.
