He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ann Keyes; his daughter Kim Jussen; his son-in-law Erik Jussen; his son Darrell Keyes Jr.; his granddaughters, Sarah, Janah Wingo and Caitie May; his brother Danny Keyes; his sister-in-law Dorothy; his nephew Noah Keyes; Ann, Jeffery, Craig Vinson and Teashea Zeller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Affairs or the Wounded Warrior Project.
