He was predeceased by : his parents, Odis Dempsey and Sarah Dempsey. He is survived by : his wife Kim Dempsey; his siblings, Randy Dempsey (Lisa), Keith Dempsey (Amy) and Blake Dempsey (Jenny); and his friends, Jim Williams, Maggie Boswell, Tony Pritchett, Mike "Stump" Carter, Marcus Robinson, Dwayne Holmes, Jim Bryant and Ted Whitten. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
