He was predeceased by: his former wife Rosalee Maddox; his wife Eulene Maddox; his siblings, James Maddox, Wallace Maddox, Frances Crosson, Macie Feazell, Eleanor Short, Susie Padgett and Grace Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Bill Crosson, Hubert Feazell, Dwayne Short, Franklin Story, Earl Hurst, James Martin, Ann Maddox and Doris Maddox.
He is survived by: his son Fred Maddox; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Maddox; his grandson Andrew Maddox; his sisters, Jeanette Hurst and Joyce Story; his brother-in-law Charles Padgett; and his stepchildren, Angela Lindsey, Cathy Self and Dan Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the charity of choice in his honor.
