With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iris Shannon McCombs Bohannon (Oxford, Alabama), who passed away on April 6, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy McCombs and Ida McCombs; her spouse Jerry Bohannon; and her daughter Ydgia Bohannon Wilson. She is survived by : her children, Carlton Bohannon (Joanne), Rhonda Howard (Mike) and Andy Bohannon (Cindy); her grandchildren, Casey Britt (Scott), Kelley Winslett (Chris), Tony Bohannon, Michael Howard, Kyle Bohannon (Natalie), Tyler Bohannon and Ryan Howard (Kelli); her niece Debbie Bohannon Jarvis; and her pet Rascal. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Miller Funeral Home (50 Hamric Dr E, Oxford, AL 36203). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
