It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Roney Cody of Oxford, Alabama, who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughters, Kimberly Barker and Karyn Cody; her parents, Willard Roney and Eva Roney; and her siblings, Donna Reeder, Marvin Roney and Wayne Roney.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Cody; her daughter Kristi Shears (Shane); her grandchildren, Ashley Lenning (Chris), Matthew Shears (Kyla) and Dylan Shears; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Presten Lenning and Lillie Blake Shears; her sisters, Gail Lackey (Tim) and Judy Kirby (Louis); and her sister-in-law Pam Cody. She is also survived by several nieces and nephew.
