She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Prater and Flora Dean Prater. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Minton of Oxford; her daughter Christy Minton (Heath Pate) of Ranburne; her grandson Hayden Simmons (Alexis) of Ranburne; her great grandchildren, Nayvie and Luka Simmons; and her sister Rita Prater Vincent (Derrick). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's honor to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
