He is survived by: his wife Theresa Downs Moates; his sons, Thomas Benjamin Moates (Amanda), Colby Moates (Hailey) and Taylor Moates (Jessica); his siblings, Grace Roberts and Harold Moats; his grandchildren, Cammi Moates, Carli Moates, Bryson Moates, Emmett Fuller, Aniston Moates, Elli Moates and Iverson Moates; and his sister-in-law Brenda Hyatt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home Chapel (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360).
