With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Etta Stewart of Ozark, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Etta left this world on October 10, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Mack Stokes and Lola Snell Stokes; and her siblings, Charles Gaynor, Vernon Stokes Sr., Charlie Mack Stokes Jr., George Stokes, Ada Raspberry, Elsie Stokes and Pauline Rogers.
She is survived by: her siblings, Erma Turner (Bill) of Indianapolis, IN, Leutrisher Bryant (Luther) of Kenly, NC. and Spencer Stokes; her children, Loretta Mindingall of Ozark, AL, Francinia Johnson of Ozark, AL and Maurice Stewart (Juanita) of Orlando, FL; her granddaughters, Brandie Stewart of San Antonio, TX and Tabitha Stewart of Ozark, AL; her great grandchild Makayla Stewart of Ozark, AL; and her nephews, Patrick Raspberry of Longview, TX and Charles Jones Jr. of Clarksville, TN. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newman Mortuary, Inc. (114 Harper Dr, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (724 Andrews Ave, Ozark, AL 36360).
