He was predeceased by: his father James Larry Royal, Sr.; and his brother Steven Monk. He is survived by: his mother Hildegard Marie Winter Royal; his wife Donna Jimmerson Royal; his children, Courtney White (Michael), Samantha Hughes (Justin) and Robert Royal (Ranee); his brother John Wayne Royal (Susan); his grandchildren, Lexi Dansby, Daylon Henderson (Laci), Mackenzie Austin, Waylon Deese, Cameron Royal, Riley Hughes, Andrew Hughes, Makenna Hughes and Cooper Hughes; and his pet Luna Royal.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P. O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
