Janet Shipes Walker Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 23, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Janet Shipes Walker of Ozark, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Shipes and Onyx Shipes; her husband Charles K. Walker; and her brothers, Andy Shipes and Jackson Shipes.

She is survived by: her children, Chuck Walker (Mandi) of Ozark and Jennifer Cook (Brent) of Dothan; her grandsons, Nathan, Brody Walker, James and Walker Elliott; her stepgranddaughters, Virginia Gwaltney (Andrew) of Birmingham and Whitney Cook of Dothan; and her extended family, Sandra, Lewie Helms, Barbara, Larry Hicks, Cynthia Williams, Ramona McLaughlin, Mary Alice McDaniel and Tonya Albert.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ozark Baptist Church (282 S Union Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
