It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Ellen Elmore Gunter of Ozark, Alabama, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, George Elmore and Lela Watson Elmore; her husband Travis Gunter; her children, Bobby Gunter and Billie Jean Scott; her grandson Dylan Gunter; her great great grandchild Jaxon OFerrell; and her siblings, Ruth Priebe, Ruby Smith, Annie Mae Blankenship, Elizabeth Walden, Frank Elmore, Kenneth Elmore, Byron Elmore and James Elmore.

She is survived by : her children, Sandra Griffin of Gulf Shores, Stacey Jones (Jeff) of Santa Rosa, FL and Travis Gunter of Ozark; her sister Wilma Bodiford (David) of Newton; her grandchildren, Leighann Gunter, Kelsea Oferrell-Andrew, Huntlea Roberts-Iahn, Brian Scott and Peyton Lynch-Matt; her great grandchildren, Logan Kirkley, Corbin Tanner, Nathan Morgan, Greysen Gill, Marjorie Roberts, Neyland Lynch, Hadlea OFerrell, Knoxlea OFerrel, Connor OFerrel and Koen Gill; and her great great grandchildren, Kolton Tanner and Kyston Tanner.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home (508 Faust Ave, Ozark, AL 36360). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to cover final expenses.
