She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert T. Holmes and Edna L. Nyhart Holmes; her husband Clarence Edward Nelson, Jr.; her son Howard L. Nelson; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Beech Nelson; and her sister Lois DeWitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert E. Nelson (Becky) and Reverend Gene T. Nelson (Janis); her daughter-in-law Vicki Nelson; and her caregiver Patricia Fryer. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
