She was predeceased by: her parents, William Green Marshall and Flossie Searcy Marshall; her husband Harold Ernest Mixson; her daughter Sandra Kay Mixson Poundstone; her husband R. Emmett Poundstone; her siblings, Billy Britt Marshall and Francis Marshall Flowers; her brother-in-law Edward Earl Flowers; her sister Jane Marshall Lavender; and her brother-in-law Frank Lavender.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Mixson O'Connell (Richard O'Connell); her grandchildren, Sean O'Connell (Ana) and Sarah Margaret Poundstone; and her great grandchild Sophia Marie O'Connell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, church family, sisters-in-law, and caregivers.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Skipperville Methodist Church (5189 AL-105, Skipperville, AL 36374). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
