He is survived by: his uncle William; his sons, Kaiwan Yates, Laronne Yates, Kreem Yates and William Yates; his sister Tarzia Yates (Brooklyn); his children, Marcus Williams (Shaddai), Jasmine Herring, D'Wan Gordon and Daijah Williams; his grandchildren, Mi'anna Kimbrough, Layla Kimbrough, Jaiden Kimbrough, Alanni Williams, Marcus Williams Jr. and Eli Gordon; and his nephews, Sha'Tek Yates and Isaiah Yates.
