He was predeceased by: his parents, James Willis Chesnut and Mildred Mozelle Merritt Chesnut; and his wife Emma LaFaye Cannon Chesnut. He is survived by: his children, James Larry Chesnut (Doris), Tony Michael Chesnut (Teresa) and Pamela Michaele Hostinsky (Ron); his grandchildren, James Larry Chesnut, Jr., Adam James Hostinsky (Kaitlin), Kevin Christopher Hostinsky and Whitney LaFaye Wilson (Eric); his great grandchildren, Aiden Matthew Wilson, Adelynn LaFaye Wilson, Asher Tony Wilson, Saylor Renee Hostinsky and Emma Grace Hostinsky; and his siblings, Terry Chesnut (Dina Joy), Nina Jo Horn (Gene) and Walter Charles Chesnut (Shirley).
