She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Giedraitis and Lucille Giedraitis; and her brother Charles Giedraitis. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Godsell; her children, Ryon L. Godsell, James Godsell, Brandon Godsell, Jennifer Godsell and Michelle Johnson; and her sister Lori Giedraitis.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to UAB Hospital Cancer Research Center.
